Jerzy Twarowski
Welcome
Thank you for visiting my website! My name is Jerzy M. Twarowski and I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Biology at The University of Iowa. My research focuses on understanding DNA break repair through a combination of molecular biology and bioinformatic approaches. Specifically, I am currently investigating Break Induced Replication (BIR) in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, using innovative methods to collect and analyze data, identify new BIR players and mechanisms, and establish various bioinformatic pipelines for genetic variant discovery, annotation, and analysis. Furthermore, I am also investigating Microhomology-mediated break-induced replication (MMBIR) signatures in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) databases of human cancers. I hope this website provides you with a better understanding of my research and qualifications, and I am happy to connect with potential collaborators or employers.
My Resume
If you would like to learn more about my qualifications and experience, I invite you to take a look at my CV, which is attached on this website.
